We are aware that travel regulations are continuously changing. Good news! If we need to cancel our June 5-7 Refresh canoe trip, all registered participants may choose either a full refund of their deposit, or they may join us during our backup Refresh trip dates, which are August 21-23, 2020.

➡️What is the purpose of this adventure?
Refresh Wilderness Retreat has a very unique purpose--to invite moms to bask in the beauty of nature and to relax undisturbed. Unlike many of our guided adventures which emphasize team development activities and teach extensive camping and back-country skills, Refresh will prioritize a relaxing paddle pace, extensive solo time in campsite and group worship-with some fun surprises to pamper moms along the way! Skills taught on this adventure will be the art of paddling, river safety and receiving acts of service.
➡️What sort of wilderness will we be traveling through?
Refresh will take place on a flat-water river, with water features of no greater than class II difficulty. Our preferred location is the Delaware River Water Gap, NJ. This area offers diverse wildlife and geography and established campsites with outhouses. Other options include the West Branch of the Susquehanna, PA, the Potomac River, MD and the Allegheny River, PA. We’ll choose a location when local forecasts become available. We can’t promise a rain-free trip, but we’ll do our best to avoid as much of it as possible.
➡️Will I need to buy expensive wilderness gear?
All gear needed for the trip is provided. We require non-cotton clothing for all participants but do not have a dress code other than what safety requires.
